The Rowdy Goddess dances in each of us, women and men,
as we reach out to be a part of the vibrant, living, loving Universe. The Rowdy Goddess is in every woman and in every
man. She is also the whole universe, reaching out to us in love, honesty, and compassion. We dance on the Mother
Earth and circle with the stars. We are Goddess. We are God. We are Rowdy and we are Wild. The sacred
Universe fills us with love as we laugh, heal and learn.

Where did the Rowdy Goddess name come from?
Back in the day, I was a fundamental Christian living in a cult-like
situation. My nickname was 'the rowdy girl' because I asked a lot of questions and told a lot of jokes. It was
not a compliment. I still love to tell jokes, laugh, and sing. Over the past several years, I've met and made
friends with a group of women at the annual women's spirituality gathering, Womongathering where we laugh, cry, yell, keen, and laugh some more. We've
been shushed sometimes because we are loud and proud. Rather than be subdued, we decided that we are women
of spirit and as such,we are goddess. It was only a short laughing step to know that we must be Rowdy
Goddesses. And in this way, we join the dance of the living, loving Universe. For we are all the Rowdy Goddess.
